Insert your existing physical SIM into the Junqo hardware. Your number, carrier and mobile plan stay the same.

Open the Junqo app on a supported device and connect to your Junqo hardware. The app is designed to provide access to the cellular capabilities Junqo supports.

Make and receive calls, send and receive SMS, run USSD and use cellular data through the Junqo system, subject to the capabilities of the final hardware, app and carrier network.

Leave the SIM in Junqo and take the device with you. Your connected devices can access your cellular connection without repeatedly opening a SIM tray.

From a question to a real product.
Junqo started with a simple question: why should a SIM have to live inside one device? We're building the answer in public — research, prototypes, experiments, failures and breakthroughs included.
The idea behind Junqo
The SIM was never the problem. The device it was locked into was.
In my final year in the University, I bought a network-locked iPhone that couldn't use any Nigerian SIM or eSIM. I got it working with a chip-unlock method, but it was never fully reliable. It could randomly drop to “No Network” without warning — mid-call, mid-anything. At the time, I never thought much further about it. I eventually left school and moved on. Then recently, the idea came back to me: what if my SIM didn't have to live inside one device at all? What if I could pick up a call, send a text, or run a USSD code from my phone, laptop, tablet, or even my TV — all sharing one SIM, wherever I was in the house? That question became Junqo.
Researching the problem before building the solution.
Before building anything, we needed to know if the problem was real.
Before designing hardware or writing software, I started researching the problem from every angle. I looked into how mobile networks handle calls, SMS, USSD, data connectivity, and device authentication. I also began studying the security, reliability, and technical challenges involved in allowing a SIM to be accessed across multiple devices. Beyond the technical research, I started speaking with people who had used network-locked phones, people who rely on chip unlock solutions, and phone sellers who deal with locked devices regularly. The goal wasn't to validate an idea I already believed in. It was to understand whether this was a real problem worth solving, how often people experienced it, and what a practical solution would need to look like. This research phase is helping shape what Junqo eventually becomes.
